- Jul 01, 2017 I just bought GameMaker Studio 2 via Steam and I already have a problem, Before buying it I have read that it is possible to import old files from GameMaker 8/8.1 for example into GameMaker Studio 2. But now it seems like it is not possible. If I press 'Import' there is no option to select.gmk.
I can decompile all GM & GMS files ie. Exe to gmk, gms, gm81 etc. So you guys should really make a.exe to.gmx (I think.gmx is game maker studio's.

The game took about 3 days to whip up, and is not a full representation of my programming ability - it was simply something I made for a laugh. I never expected it to come this far since the original release. Bear that in mind. As I've now moved onto using alternative technologies, I'll still keep this thread updated with any new itteration of the game that are released - but sadly, I've moved on from GE for the most part. Mainly due to compatibility with what I'm learning in Uni. But GE will always be important to me as my first real forray into the Indie Developer scene.
